A Q3 Goals list

I had two finishes for Q2, but you’ll have to wait for TGIFF next week (July 24) to see the bigger one. I’ll give you a hint – it’s a quilt 🙂

My other finish was this Side Hustle laptop bag from the Bag of the Month Club. I did previously share this on Instagram. The leather is real leather, bought at Len’s Mill Store on a whim, and it is sized down to fit my work laptop. I have enjoyed using it since returning to the office part-time (soon to be full-time).

I want to continue to have a shorter, more focused list. Of course it’s summer, so my sewing time is less and gardening time is more. But these are the ones I want to prioritize. The finish-a-long group is in suspension right now while we ride out this roller coaster, but I do like the idea of a quarterly check-in, so here is my list, including some things I would just be happy to progress.

1. Summer sampler quilt – quilting 3/4 done

2. Frolic quilt

3. Sewing machine pillow

4. Beach ball baby quilt #2 – piecing almost done

5. Applique quilt for my niece (top pieced by a friend, needs quilting)

6. Mandolin quilt (EPP) – sewing on the outside pieces to square it up, then needs to be quilted

That applique quilt is really pretty! Love the laptop bag too. Good luck on moving your other projects along!

    1. I don’t have much time to quilt right now, but I will have to find some so I can work on this list.

Your laptop bag is fabulous! I’m nervous to attempt a bag pattern at all, let alone leather. Love the tulip applique, too. It will be fun to see how you quilt it!

    1. It actually was in a “time-out” for a few months, but then it was a quick finish once I got back to it! Using the right needle and taking it slow is the trick for success with leather and vinyl.
