Pandemic. Our routine is broken. And just when we find a new fragile path forward the rains sweep us away.

My work laptop is set up on top of the Singer 301, I quietly hand stitch during online meetings — so many meetings. I am grateful to be working full time but stressed over doing the worst part of my job without the natural conversations and social interaction that make the day go faster.

Next week I return to the office. It remains to be seen if productivity and effectiveness will be better.

In the evenings I add a few more pieces to the unity quilt, created by Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville’s Quips and Snips. Meditating on change and surety and happiness.

This is definitely a strange time – glad that you’ve found a bit of time to get in some hand-stitching. Hope that your return to the office goes well!

Good luck going back to the office. I find I’m more productive in the office.

    1. So far so good. It was nice having regular hours instead of “one more email”
