And a recycled set

Of goals for Q2 in the Finish a Long. Well, that’s not new for me. And as usual, I try to make these goals something that has been hanging around, not the seductive new project which has tempted me.

Which means, that almost all of these goals are recycled from last quarter.

Halloween QST quilt (now named Spooky Jack) — backing made, just needs basting and quiltingcompleted top full

Beach Ball baby quilts — I’m planning to make two smallish quilts for future baby friends, rather than one bigger one.

En Provence — no progress this quarter

Jolly Little Christmas (long shot as it still needs piecing)Jolly little Christmas Quilt planned layout

Honestly, that’s probably enough. As it gets warmer I won’t want to have a quilt piled in my lap, and I’ll have lots of piecing to do to be ready for Q3 (On Ringo Lake, Summer Sampler 2017, Glamp Stitchalot 2015).

Some orphan panels for tote bag and pillow respectively : triangles and improv pieced pinktriangles panel for tote bag

As to garment projects — realistically I will have to concentrate solely on garments for a while to get these done. I’ll go ahead and list my projects-in-waiting anyway, linen skirt, summer dress, and camouflage trousers.

Camouflage trousers–the fabric was really cheap and this will be basically a muslin for a base pattern for me.camouflage twill fabric

Summer dress–yep, third fourth year for this one. I haven’t changed sizes so the pattern alterations I made should still work.wpid-img_20150112_220302.jpg

  1. Love your dress and skirt fabrics! Hoping you can accomplish all your goals!
I find that when (IF) the weather gets warmer I spend less time behind the sewing machine and more time outside.

    1. Oh yes, me too! Especially once the garden needs attention (right now I can ignore it and thank the late snowfall for giving me more time to sew 🙂 )

  2. What a varied list! I agree that when spring is gorgeous I don’t sew as mych when it is too fun to be outside. When summer’s heat really hits, then I retreat back inside. Good luck on making progress on your projects. On behalf of the 2018 global FAL hosts, thank you for participating in the FAL.

    1. Yikes, only one month left!

  3. You have some great projects for this quarter! I hope you are making some great progress on your projects this quarter!

    1. As usual, I’m hoping for a big finish! One quilt to baste and finish I hope. The clothing…well, I’ll keep hoping.

  4. […] This was a goal for my Q2 finish-a-long list. […]
