Allietare Pillow Finish

Because it doesn’t take very long once you actually start.  The top is from the Allietare mystery quilt-along in 2015, by Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville.  I used some leftover 4-patches, and some more, set on point for the side panel (approximately 4 1/2″ wide), and backed it with grey chevron flannel.  I then stuffed it with a queen size down duvet we don’t use because it’s too hot for my husband. Here’s where I confess that I completely copied this idea from Nicole at Snips Snippets, right down to using her photos to figure out approximately what size to make the pillow. Mine is an octagon-ish.

As you can see, it is a success.

This was a goal for my Q4 Finish-A-Long list (original list here).  Linking up to Main Crush Monday with Cooking Up Quilts.

  1. Glad it go the stamp of approval! Finishing is a good thing, at least occasionally.

  2. It looks like a very comfy pillow, and I love the color combo. Glad you had a finish! It always feels good to have a finish to celebrate. 🙂
