Something Missing

There’s never a good time for your baby sewing machine to go into the shop. I’m not sure what’s wrong; it still sews ok in a straight line,  but not any of the zig zag stitches. I babied it along to finish the machine sewing on my swap bag for Glamp Stitchalot weekend (squeee!).  Now just a little hand sewing to finish.   I do have two vintage Singers which just need a little work to be usable,  I should get on that.

Poor you! I hate having my machine out of action 😦 Lovely when it comes back running smooth and quiet though. Hope you don’t have to wait too long.

    1. It will be at least a week *sob*

      I feel you pain! Bless!

  2. I feel your pain! I lost a screw inside my machine earlier in the year and it took a month to sort it out. I never realised how dependent upon quilting I was to retain a little balance in life. Hopefully it won’t take long to fix your machine. Hexies in the meanwhile?

    1. I’m going to be doing lots of prep work — ironing, starching, and cutting out various projects. And maybe I’ll try EPP one of the farmer’s wife blocks.

  3. Nothing makes me want to sew more than having my machine unavailable! Hope you survive.

    1. My daughter told me that I have too many sewing machines (mostly because the other 4 don’t actually work right now)… Well, it’s a good excuse to sort and tidy my fabric stash in the meantime!
