September goal for ALYOF

Yuma quilt top half finished. Free pattern from Gotham Quilts.

I don’t expect to have as much sewing time as usual in September, so definitely I need to pick a project which is well underway. I think my Yuma quilt is the best choice. I have quilted a selection of concentric circles on the top already, now I just need to go back and add some organic wavy lines to fill in the bigger spaces between the circles (because I’m tired of making circles). Bonus points for finishing the binding.

Concentric circles quilting.

  3. This is a great looking quilt… it’ll be nice to see it all finished up! (Also, it’s super cold over here right now, so all I can think about is how warm it’ll be. Get thee a usable quilt!)

  4. I love the simplicity and effectiveness of the pattern and fabric

  5. Love the contrast of quilted circles with the radiating squares.

  6. This is stunning. Awesome work!

  7. Wow – so amazing! I LOVE the colours and the way the triangles are laid out. WOW! Is it a pattern and do you cut the triangles with a fancy ruler? I’ve been looking at them lately because I’m loving triangle quilts… Thanks!

    1. I had a lot of fun making this quilt! It’s the free pattern from Gotham Quilts, here is my original blog post: https://lisainporthope.wordpress.com/2015/07/13/yuma-blog-hop-visits-port-hope/

The triangles are cut from squares! Super simple. Use lots of pins ☺
