Resisting the Sales

Did you? Did you resist the Black Friday sales?

I mostly did, although I did pick up a pdf of the Sally Dress pattern by Shannon at luvinthemommyhood.com at 25% off (sale on until December 2).

We had a sick child this weekend, so I picked up my knitting while she watched numerous episodes of Franklin. Which of course led to this:

I’ve had this sweater in progress for at least 11 years, and my tension is all over the place, but I’m working up the armpits now so the end is in sight. The pattern and wool is from Philosopher’s Wool here in Ontario.

And some new stash arrived courtesy of the post-quilt market sales at Pink Castle Fabrics, although I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. The True Colors by Anna Maria Horner (Sealing Wax in Amethyst), has a cream background (not white), which surprised me, but the Sun Prints Party Streamers by Allison Glass are so incredibly yummy (this is the half yard bundle) that I’m really glad I succumbed.

Now excuse me, I have some sewing to do.

Linking up to the ever-fabulous Molli Sparkles for Sunday Stash.

  1. Love the Sun Prints! The picture of the little one with the knitting needles is priceless!

  2. Oh, yes, no problem here resisting those sales, Just don’t like the traffic and crowds. Instead a day at home sewing and knitting for me! So cute having the little one want to try out knitting too – a future crafter/needleworker for sure!

  3. Love your new stash! I really like those Sun Prints, though I never did get around to buying much of them. (Which is okay. I don’t really *need* them, right? Right.)

  4. This is definitely #mollisparklesapproved! Love these fabrics, such great blenders, and they have a wonderfully intense saturation level! Beautiful! Thanks for linking up and I know I’ll be seeing a lot more of you in 2014! Mwah mwah!

    1. I’ve got an upcoming block of the month which I think will see some of these yummies! ttfn
